Hello Everyone!

Joining Hearts and Hands continues success at Generations. Beginning 2010, Generations launched an initiative that is truly unique and its impact will change the lives of many children outside out community. By combining efforts with a local non-profit organization called Joining Hearts and Hands, Generations is helping to make early education a priority in Africa. Our large goal is to raise money to build an early education school in Kenya, but we realize that this will take time, so for the next year, we are focusing on setting smaller goals; a classroom to start.

Throughout the past few months, each classroom in every center has focused on ways to incorporate this fundraising effort into class curriculums. From our can and water bottle drive to our coin collection school houses, children have learned that fundraising can be fun and exciting as well as a learning experience. Along with fundraising, Generations children have learned about life in Kenya.


   

 


School Agers are incorporating the Kenyan flag and maps of Kenya into art projects, toddlers are creating hearts with their painted hands and some classrooms have gone above and beyond the normal fundraising to have bake sales to raise more money.
